Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Brawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Brawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matheus Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawn misses with a takedown attempt - Lucas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lucas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brawn.


It looks like Jim Brawn has been cut.
Brawn shoots in but Lucas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lucas throws a jab but it's blocked by Brawn.

Brawn ducks straight into an uppercut from Lucas and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Brawn manages to regain guard straight away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brawn has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lucas has passed into side control.

Lucas has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Brawn clinches up with Lucas and pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lucas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brawn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lucas as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Brawn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brawn looks to throw the jab but Lucas is out of range.
Lucas scores with a body shot.
Lucas throws a shot from downtown. Brawn moves away and avoids it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brawn. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Brawn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lucas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lucas lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Brawn sprawling to the canvas. Lucas follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Brawn hang on?
Oh Brawn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lucas stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Brawn to get to his feet.
Lucas connects with a nice cross there... Brawn is looking wobbly and Lucas recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Brawn to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Lucas jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Matheus Lucas!
After winning the bout, Matheus Lucas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
