Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn McShane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Ragnarson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shawn McShane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gustav Ragnarson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McShane swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ragnarson.
Ragnarson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McShane quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ragnarson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McShane defending well though.
Ragnarson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
McShane keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ragnarson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
McShane on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McShane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ragnarson pulls his head out easily.
Ragnarson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ragnarson wants to pass the guard but McShane is defending well.
Ragnarson lands with a punch from half guard.
McShane trying to control from the bottom.
Ragnarson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing McShane to regain full guard.
McShane is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
McShane is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ragnarson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ragnarson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ragnarson passes McShane's left leg - he's now in half guard.
McShane gets full guard.
Ragnarson is looking to work some ground and pound but McShane has wrist control.
Ragnarson throws a big right hand that misses.
McShane trying to control the position.
Ragnarson is working McShane over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ragnarson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ragnarson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ragnarson landing some decent shots from guard.
McShane has momentary wrist control but Ragnarson slips an elbow through the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ragnarson works over McShane with some ground and pound from guard.
McShane preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ragnarson gets to his feet and stands over McShane, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! McShane felt that one! Ragnarson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save McShane from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustav Ragnarson!
