The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gadzhiev shoots in looking for a takedown. Romanov tries to sprawl out of it but Gadzhiev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Romanov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A leg kick checked by Gadzhiev.
Gadzhiev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Romanov.
Romanov throws a nice looking combination but Gadzhiev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A big right from Romanov misses.
Romanov misses with an uppercut.
Gadzhiev blocks a leg kick.
Romanov finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Romanov fails to land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Gadzhiev or perhaps it was just good defense by Romanov which made him look bad.
Gadzhiev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Romanov.
Nice sprawl there from Romanov as Gadzhiev shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamil Gadzhiev. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gadzhiev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Romanov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gadzhiev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Romanov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gadzhiev somewhat.
Gadzhiev is breathing heavily.
Romanov misses with an uppercut.
Gadzhiev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Romanov.
Gadzhiev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Romanov counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Romanov lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Gadzhiev is looking to close the distance but Romanov sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Gadzhiev crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Gadzhiev is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
