The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Jones Jr misses the target.
Pigeon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pigeon manages to avoid it.
Pigeon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones Jr scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jones Jr's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones Jr obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jones Jr lands with a good body shot.
Jones Jr feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pigeon's calf.
Jones Jr dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Pigeon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jones Jr is trying to get back to full guard.
Jones Jr keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jones Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've been hearing that Pigeon has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pigeon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pigeon in particular looking to stall.
Jones Jr has hold of Pigeon's hands but Pigeon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Pigeon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones Jr can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pigeon lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones Jr hang on?
Pigeon cracks Jones Jr with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Pigeon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jones Jr is squirming around, avoiding Pigeon's attempts to control the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pigeon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Pigeon with a couple of short strikes.

Pigeon has control of Jones Jr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones Jr regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones Jr is working to get back to half guard.
Jones Jr wants to hold on but Pigeon pushes him away.
Pigeon breaks from Jones Jr's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Pigeon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jones Jr is still in real trouble! Can Pigeon finish him?

Jones Jr seems to have recovered his senses.
Pigeon avoids the attempt from Jones Jr to control.
Pigeon unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Jones Jr wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Pigeon celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
