Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Nieto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Serial Killa. Nieto comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bullet the Blue Sky kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Alexandre Nieto is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexandre Nieto!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall misses the jab.
Nieto uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hall has time to react.
Michael Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hall has Nieto up against the cage in a clinch.
Hall working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Nieto misses with a hook from the clinch.
Nieto is leaning against Hall and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Hall can't find room to land a body shot as Nieto controls the action.
Hall changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nieto fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nieto lands with a kick to the temple. Hall shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nieto takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Hall takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hall lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nieto thows a body shot but no joy.
Hall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nieto lands with an overhand left.
Hall scores with a nice head shot.

Hall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hall doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Nieto prevents a body shot from Hall.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hall tries to land a knee to the head but Nieto blocks with his arms.
Nieto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Nieto has had enough of the clinch but Hall keeps him there for the moment.

Hall scores with a shot to the side of Nieto's head.

Nieto gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nieto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nieto's back!
Hall tries to get the hooks in deep but Nieto pushed the leg off.
Nieto breaks Hall's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Nieto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nieto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nieto lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Nieto postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nieto, into his guard.

Nieto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hall is aware though and is defending well.

Nieto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hall defends well.
Nieto wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hall wants to control from the top but Nieto keeps moving.

Some bone on bone action there as Hall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hall misses with a hook. Nieto ducked under it nicely.
Hall throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nieto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hall misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
A good leg kick by Nieto.

Hall moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nieto fails with the takedown.
Nieto swats away the attempt to clinch by Hall.

Hall works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nieto throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hall throws a low kick, looking for Nieto's leg but Nieto calmly moves out of range.
Hall lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Nieto looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hall!
Hall is looking for a sweep.
Hall is working hard here to advance position.
Check out the look on Nieto's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nieto working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hall pushes Nieto away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nieto gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Hall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nieto wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nieto wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy.
Nieto works to advance to full mount. Hall defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Hall keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Nieto trying to control but Hall is having none of it.

Nieto lands with some strikes.

Nieto looking to control but Hall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Nieto lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Nieto pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nieto goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hall turns into him and now he's in Nieto's guard.
Hall stays in close to Nieto's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexandre Nieto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
