Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yardigalovich Vasililiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yardigalovich Vasililiev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Fernando!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I really don't envy Vasililiev right now.
Fernando is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vasililiev is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fernando gets his way!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Will Fernando go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fernando lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vasililiev has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vasililiev and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yardigalovich Vasililiev will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Paulo Fernando hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yardigalovich Vasililiev.
I think Vasililiev has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
