Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Owen Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimundo Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Owen Castle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raimundo Sobral!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Castle misses the shot to the body.
Sobral just misses with a punch to the body.
Sobral dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Castle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sobral looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sobral misses with a body kick.
Castle just misses with a punch to the body.
Sobral fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castle manages to avoid it.

Sobral changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Castle is looking to reverse the position.
Castle has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sobral is just content to waste time from the top position. Castle takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Castle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sobral is aware though and is defending well.

Castle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sobral gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sobral leaves Castle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Castle has his foot on Sobral's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sobral works his way back into a safe position though.

Castle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sobral looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sobral looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sobral!

I would just about give that final round to Raimundo Sobral.
Well Sobral has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
