Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rich Castellano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kay Ector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castellano comes to the cage accompanied by Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone. Ector has chosen Monster! as his entrance music. Rich Castellano is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rich Castellano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kay Ector!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Ector misses the target.
Ector looks to score with a jab to the body but Castellano is just out of range.

Kay Ector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Castellano counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ector cracks Castellano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ector lands a right hook to the body.
Ector throws a right hand that Castellano ducks under and follows up with a left that Castellano also avoids with ease.
Castellano misses with a hook. Ector ducked under it nicely.
Castellano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ector as he jumps to the side.
Ector looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Castellano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Castellano scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Castellano has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ector lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castellano circles away quickly and effectively.

Castellano changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ector looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Castellano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ector keeps working.

Ector gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ector throws a hook to the side of Castellano's head but Castellano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ector lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ector.
Ector clobbers Castellano with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Castellano stalks Ector and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ector's face. Ector staggers backwards, shaken.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Castellano looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ector is fending him off so far but Castellano persists. Nope, Ector circles away and we're back to standing.

Castellano needs to keep his hands up - Ector had a free shot at his head there.


Rich Castellano's cut is getting worse.
Ector throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

I would just about give that final round to Kay Ector.
