The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper scoring well with a low kick there.
Cooper takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Marsden displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Cooper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marsden was well out of range. Poor timing from Cooper.
Cooper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marsden circles away.
A head kick misses from Marsden.
Marsden tries to clinch but Cooper moves out of range.

Cooper just misses with a punch to the body.
Marsden lands with a nice combination. Cooper backs away looking to recover.

Cooper lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brandon Marsden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marsden is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cooper's half guard.
Cooper wants to improve his position but Marsden is controlling well.
Marsden is thwarting Cooper's attempts to control the position.
Marsden wants to free his trapped foot but Cooper is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Marsden looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cooper keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Marsden connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marsden cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cooper wants to control but Marsden is having none of it.
Marsden scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Cooper tries to reverse the position but Marsden maintains control.
BOOM! Marsden connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Marsden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
