The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mvungi throws a combination. Cottero tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mvungi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cottero is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mvungi.
Mvungi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cottero.
Cottero changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Mvungi looks to land a left hand but Cottero moved out of range nicely.
Mvungi misses with a wild combination.
Mvungi throws a shot from downtown. Cottero moves away and avoids it.
Cottero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cottero lands a leg kick that knocks Mvungi off balance momentarily.
Mvungi looks to score with a jab to the body but Cottero is just out of range.
Cottero chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Mvungi swings for the body but Cottero moves out of range.
Mvungi cracks Cottero with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mvungi looks to land a combination but Cottero avoids it well.
Mvungi looks to land a right hand but Cottero moved out of range.
Cottero sizes up Mvungi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cottero takes a swing at Mvungi's ribcage but misses.
Mvungi moves out of range of the body kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Mvungi.
Mvungi tries to bum rush Cottero with a series of wild strikes but Cottero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cottero tries a head kick but it misses.
Mvungi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Mvungi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cottero turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mvungi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Cottero is rocked!
Cottero slips under a jab from Mvungi.
Oh Cottero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mvungi throws a lazy right hand but Cottero sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mvungi pounces like a tiger and cracks Cottero with a vicious hook! Cottero is down but not out! Mvungi follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jonathan Mvungi!
