Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Mvungi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mvungi comes to the cage accompanied by Professor Jay ft. Ferooz - Nikusaidiaje?. Norris comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Norris Man - When Your Time Is Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mvungi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Norris shoots and misses
and Mvungi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Norris manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mvungi on his heels. He'll look to pass Mvungi's guard now, I'm sure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Norris looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Norris uses his free foot to push down on Mvungi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mvungi.

Norris wants to finish this one by submission but Mvungi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Norris.

Norris swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mvungi is now in Norris's guard. A big mistake from Norris there, giving up the dominant position!

Norris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mvungi defends well.

Mvungi throws a good cross that connects.
Norris shoots in looking for a takedown but Mvungi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Norris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mvungi controls Norris momentarily but Norris frees himself.
Norris sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mvungi's guard.
Norris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mvungi keeps working.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sub Norris hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Norris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
