Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Miller!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Schlimen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Schlimen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schlimen wants it to stay on the feet.
Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bruce Schlimen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Miller.

and Schlimen counters with a left to the body.

Miller shoots in for a takedown but Schlimen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Schlimen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Schlimen lands a nice hook to Miller's body. Miller takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Miller wants to take the fight to the mat but Schlimen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Miller drops down looking for an ankle pick but Schlimen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Miller takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Miller ducks right into an uppercut from Schlimen.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schlimen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Schlimen catches Miller with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Schlimen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Schlimen punishes Miller's body with a nice straight punch.
Miller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Schlimen lands a big head kick that sends Miller tumbling to the mat! Schlimen takes a step backwards and waves Miller back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Miller is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Miller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schlimen's waist but Schlimen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miller off to one side.
Miller is still on wobbly legs! Can Schlimen finish him?

Miller seems to have recovered his senses.
Miller on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Miller shoots in for a double leg but Schlimen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Miller is trying hard to land a takedown here. Schlimen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Schlimen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Miller doesn't seem bothered though.

Schlimen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Miller sprawling to the canvas! Miller rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Schlimen finish him?!

Miller tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Schlimen defends well and Miller ends up having to push Schlimen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Schlimen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Schlimen is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Miller like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Miller from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Schlimen!
During a confident post fight interview, Bruce Schlimen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
