Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vince Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vince Hardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Quin!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy thows a body shot but no joy.
Quin shoots in and drives through. Hardy sprawls well.

Quin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hardy tries to roll over but Quin keeps him under control.
Quin looks to land a strike but Hardy avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quin trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.
Hardy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hardy wants to improve his position but instead Quin has moved into half guard.
Quin wants to take a breather but Hardy is having none of it.
Quin with the ground and pound but Hardy uses the opportunity to regain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Quin wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.

Hardy has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Quin is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Quin's coach down at Soul Supremacy - UK was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Quin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hardy is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Hardy gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hardy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Hardy missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Quin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hardy is working away from the top position though.

Quin tries to get to full guard but Hardy has control of the leg.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Quin wants to improve his position but Hardy is controlling well.
Hardy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hardy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quin wants to control but Hardy is keeping busy.

Quin looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hardy prevents Quin from improving his position.
Hardy is nestled in close to Quin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Quin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hardy scores with a couple of nice shots.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Quin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hardy.
Hardy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Quin's head.
Quin wants to control but Hardy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Quin is pressing down on Hardy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hardy looking to sit in guard and control but Quin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hardy scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Hardy looking for a sweep. Not yet Hardy, not yet.
Hardy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Quin throws an elbow that misses. Hardy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Quin's guard. Nice move by Hardy!

Hardy lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Quin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Quin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hardy is working Quin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Quin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hardy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vince Hardy dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hardy throws a good cross that connects.
Hardy with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hardy lands a head shot.
Hardy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Quin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Quin tries for a takedown but Hardy circles away easily
and Hardy counters with a stiff right hand.
Hardy missing with a left hand there. Quin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Quin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hardy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Quin shoots in and gets a takedown into Hardy's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hardy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quin's guard.

Hardy pushes down on Quin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hardy works his way into side control.

Quin tries to improve position but can't.
Hardy trying to control the position but Quin is working away.
Quin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hardy lands a nice forearm strike.
Check out the look on Hardy's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Quin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Quin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nice strikes from Hardy there.
Hardy winds up and cracks Quin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hardy passes to side control.
Quin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hardy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Vince Hardy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hardy lands a nice forearm strike.

Quin tries to buck Hardy off but Hardy is having none of it.

Quin seems to have recovered his senses.

Hardy in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Quin looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Hardy turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vince Hardy!
Vince Hardy tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
