The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulot lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Sergay Goncharov has been cut.
Goncharov shoots in looking for a takedown but Kulot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Goncharov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kulot stuffs the takedown.
Goncharov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jorel Kulot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergay Goncharov.
Goncharov shoots in but no luck this time.

We've been informed that Goncharov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Goncharov wants a takedown but no success here.
Kulot has Goncharov pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Goncharov is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Kulot - that's hurt Goncharov badly! Oh, another knee lands and Goncharov is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Goncharov doesn't seem to be complaining.
