Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Call Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Hoover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoover has chosen Godsmack - I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Dominic Hoover has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dominic Hoover!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Me on the side of the head.
Me definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Me dodges the punch combination from Hoover.
Me takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hoover changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Me shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hoover manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Me is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoover has wrist control.
Me postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Me is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Hoover really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Me. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Me rushes Hoover and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Me is trying to drag Hoover to the mat but Hoover just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hoover tries to break the clinch but Me is controlling the position.
Me has Hoover pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hoover manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Me has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hoover is trying to keep an underhook but Me manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Hoover throws a right hand that Me ducks under and follows up with a left that Me also avoids with ease.

Hoover gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Me to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That was a close round but Call Me did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Hoover lands a nice hook to Me's body. Me takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hoover comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Me closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Me is nestled in close to Hoover, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Call Me showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Me, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Call Me started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
