The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delsharko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ravi Shankoli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Delsharko throws a low kick, looking for Shankoli's leg but Shankoli calmly moves out of range.

Shankoli's coach down at Cylon Training Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shankoli's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Delsharko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shankoli bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Delsharko's head backwards.

Shankoli connects with a right hand. Delsharko shakes it off.

Delsharko misses the shot to the body.
Delsharko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shankoli swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Delsharko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Delsharko takes a swing at Shankoli's ribcage but misses.
Delsharko gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Shankoli sends Delsharko crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shankoli is motioning to the referee to let Delsharko up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Shankoli lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Delsharko at a distance.
Shankoli is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Delsharko had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Shankoli lands with a shot to the body.
Shankoli throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Delsharko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Delsharko takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Delsharko tries to move into range but Shankoli moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Delsharko takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Delsharko looks up at the clock. Bad move! Shankoli lands a right hand from hell, dropping Delsharko. Shankoli pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
