Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Wong will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Wong!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace fails to land the takedown.
Good leg kick by Wong there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wallace as he avoids it easily.
Wong tries to clinch but Wallace is having none of it.
Joe Wong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wallace.

Wallace looking to score a takedown here. Wong is defending well but Wallace drives through and ends up in Wong's guard.

Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wong is working away from the top position though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Wallace gets back to full guard.
Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wong is one step ahead there.
Lou Wallace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wallace wants to clinch.

Wong misses with a few strikes there.
Wallace misses the shot to the body.
Wong fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Wong or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace which made him look bad.
Lou Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Wong.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wallace tries for a takedown but Wong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Wong darts in looking for a takedown but Wallace gets double underhooks and turns Wong into the cage.
Wallace looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wong landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wong's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Wong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wong fails with a takedown attempt.
Wong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wallace swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lou Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Wong.

Wallace throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wong was covering up waiting for the punch and Wallace finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Wallace stands up and waves to Wong to follow him.

Wong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wong throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wallace escapes and throws Wong's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Wallace lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wong down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wallace is chipping away with strikes.
Wallace lands an elbow.
Wallace trying to control the position but Wong is working away.

Wallace decides to stand back up. Wallace steps back and let's Wong get back to his feet.

Wallace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wong's guard.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wallace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wallace is working Wong over with some ground and pound from side control.
Wong is trying to control Wallace's posture but Wallace avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wong takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wallace tries to advance to mount but can't.
Joe Wong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lou Wallace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Wallace happy to just control the position for now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
