Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Galt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galt comes to the cage accompanied by State of the Union by Rise Against. Watson has chosen Till I Collapse- Eminem as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Watson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Galt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Watson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Watson scores with a shot to the body.
Watson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Watson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Galt misses with an uppercut.
Galt walks into a straight right hand from Watson.

Watson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Watson moves into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Watson swings wildly with an uppercut but Galt uses good head movement to avoid it.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Galt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Galt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Watson forces his way into half guard.
Galt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Watson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galt is trying to control but can't.
Watson is keen to just control but Galt is a slippery customer.
Galt is looking to control Watson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Galt avoid being mounted?

Watson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Galt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Galt is refusing to be controlled, as Watson sits in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Watson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Watson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Galt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Galt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Galt pushes Watson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Galt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Watson just stands there and leans against the cage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Watson.
Galt fails to pull guard.
Galt cracks Watson with a nice body shot.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Watson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Watson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Galt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Watson has managed to get both his arms back between Galt's legs - danger averted.

John Watson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Watson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
