The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by McTearson.
Pencil jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rufus McTearson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pencil throws an overhand right that lands on McTearson's shoulder, as McTearson tries to avoid the shot.
McTearson staying out of range there.
Pencil throws a hook but McTearson blocks it.
Pencil misses with an uppercut.
McTearson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McTearson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
McTearson throws a nice looking combination but Pencil bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pencil throws a jab but it's blocked by McTearson.
McTearson slips a jab and a cross from Pencil.
Pencil jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McTearson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pencil momentarily.
Pencil misses with an uppercut.
McTearson checks a low kick from Pencil.
Pencil looks to land a left hand but McTearson moved out of range nicely.
A nice leg kick lands there from McTearson.
Pencil scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pencil chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McTearson can pounce on him.

McTearson lands the left hand.
McTearson moves out of range as Pencil strikes.
McTearson slips under a jab.
McTearson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pencil. That did some damage!
McTearson scores with the left hand. Pencil knows he should have avoided that one.
McTearson throws a shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Pencil throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pencil throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
McTearson thuds his right hand into Pencil's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
McTearson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pencil is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
A jab from Pencil misses.
Pencil waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McTearson.
Pencil has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McTearson cracks Pencil with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McTearson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Pencil dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McTearson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pencil takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McTearson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pencil.
Pencil takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pencil avoids the head kick by McTearson.
Pencil walks into a stiff left hand from McTearson.

Pencil is rocked!
The fighters circling - McTearson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pencil is still on wobbly legs! Can McTearson finish him?
Pencil throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pencil seems to have recovered his senses.
McTearson lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Pencil goes down and covers up as McTearson starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
