Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Razor Maya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Slevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Slevin's choice of entrance music: Metallica - Enter Sandman. Tony Slevin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Slevin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slevin. Slevin obviously looking to wear him down.
Slevin throws a looping overhand right but Maya ducks down to avoid it.
Slevin throws a head kick that misses
and Maya decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Slevin's guard.
Maya pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slevin is keeping the position for now.

Maya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Maya gets to his feet. Slevin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Slevin tries to clinch up but Maya circles away and keeps his distance.
Maya dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Slevin. That did some damage!

and Maya counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Slevin's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slevin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maya can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Maya stands up and waves to Slevin to follow him.

Slevin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Maya goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Slevin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Maya's head.

Maya throws a leg kick but Slevin moved away.
Slevin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Maya on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Maya throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Maya.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Maya.
Slevin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Maya decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Slevin's guard.
Slevin manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A clash of legs there as Slevin blocks the low kick.
Tony Slevin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slevin throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maya.

and Maya counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Maya is working for a submission of some sort.
Maya will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Slevin tries to kick Maya off but Maya keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Maya moves into full mount! Slevin won't be happy about that!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maya thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Slevin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Maya is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Slevin.

and Maya counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maya is just content to waste time from the top position. Slevin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Razor Maya overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Maya is trying to control Slevin's posture but Slevin avoids it.

Maya closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Slevin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Maya pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A big left from Slevin misses.
Slevin connects with a crisp jab.
Maya looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Slevin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Maya checks it well.
Slevin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Slevin misses with a hook. Maya ducked under it nicely.

and Maya counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Slevin's guard now.

Maya wants to control from the top but Slevin keeps moving.

Maya lands a really nice looking cross but Slevin seems unphased.

Slevin throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Maya is trying to stall.
Maya throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Slevins head.
Maya digs a right hand underneath Slevin's ribcage. Slevin let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Slevin has a couple of punches blocked by Maya.
Slevin scores with a hook to the body.

Slevin lands with a left to the head.

Maya lands with a short shot to the head.

Slevin is working Maya over against the ropes.
Slevin lands a body shot.
Slevin drops Maya onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Maya is propped up by the ropes and works his way back to his feet!
Maya is rocked!
Slevin throws a big uppercut that drops Maya! More strikes from Slevin and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Maya lies dazed against the ropes as Slevin celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Slevin!
