Jalovaara comes to the cage accompanied by Die for Metal. Kobashi has chosen DJ Krush - Kemuri as his entrance music. Kenta Kobashi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jaska Jalovaara's chin.

With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenta Kobashi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Jalovaara counters with a single leg into guard. Kobashi didn't expect that.
Kobashi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kobashi working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jalovaara will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
