Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Meguru Takayanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominik Kokoszka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meguru Takayanagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dominik Kokoszka!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takayanagi shoots in for a double leg but Kokoszka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kokoszka clobbers Takayanagi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Takayanagi cracks Kokoszka with a good jab.
Kokoszka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Takayanagi.

Takayanagi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kokoszka's half guard.
Kokoszka wants to get back to his feet.
Takayanagi is nestled in close to Kokoszka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kokoszka can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kokoszka is looking for a sweep. Takayanagi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Takayanagi is keen to just control but Kokoszka is a slippery customer.
Takayanagi is just content to waste time from the top position. Kokoszka takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Kokoszka has hold of Takayanagi's hands but Takayanagi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Takayanagi is looking for a kimura but Kokoszka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Takayanagi to get the leverage.

Kokoszka felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Takayanagi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kokoszka doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takayanagi.

Takayanagi is looking for a kimura but Kokoszka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Takayanagi to get the leverage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Takayanagi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Takayanagi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kokoszka is fending him off so far but Takayanagi persists. Nope, Kokoszka circles away and we're back to standing.

Kokoszka's jab looks to have found its range, popping Takayanagi under the eye.
Kokoszka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takayanagi manages to avoid it.
Takayanagi swings for the body but Kokoszka moves out of range.
Takayanagi misses with a takedown attempt - Kokoszka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meguru Takayanagi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kokoszka connects with a nice looking jab.
Kokoszka drops Takayanagi with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Takayanagi! Kokoszka dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dominik Kokoszka!
