PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mannix McGuiness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Kakashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuiness comes to the cage accompanied by Bare in the Basin - Gaelic Storm. Kakashi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nas - Hate Me Now kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Mannix McGuiness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aoki Kakashi!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakashi tries to clinch up.
Kakashi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

McGuiness throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kakashi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McGuiness is in Kakashi's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Aoki Kakashi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kakashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGuiness tries to avoid it but Kakashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGuiness to the ground. McGuiness escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
