Bishop has chosen teenagers as his entrance music. Walter Bishop struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Shamrock. No joy for Bishop on that attempt.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bishop cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Shamrock works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Shamrock drops his hands momentarily and Bishop takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bishop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shamrock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Shamrock stuffs the takedown attempt from Bishop. Bishop gets slowly back to his feet.
We've been informed that Bishop has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Bishop looks to land a combination but Shamrock avoids it well.
Bishop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bishop tries to close the distance and clinch but Shamrock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shamrock misses with a looping left.
A jab from Shamrock misses.
Shamrock throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bobby Shamrock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bishop has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shamrock finds it's way round the side to connect with Bishop's head.
Bishop moves away from the strike by Shamrock.
Bishop thows a left - swing and a miss!

Bobby Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Bishop.

Shamrock stuns Bishop with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bishop looks to clinch
and Bishop takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Shamrock circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Bishop to the canvas! Bishop doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Shamrock keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Our winner, Bobby Shamrock, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
