Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Alvarez. The crowd seem to be enjoying Capwell's choice of entrance music: The Haunted - 99. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
41 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Capwell! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Johnson misses the shot to the body. Capwell tries to sprawl but Johnson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Johnson trying to control from half guard but Capwell is working away. Capwell is looking to improve his position.
Johnson is trying to control the action in half guard but Capwell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Johnson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Johnson seems to be working for a kimura but Capwell defends the submission attempt. Capwell is not content to let Johnson control the position.

Capwell regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Capwell is keeping the position for now. Capwell trying to control the position.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Capwell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Capwell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Capwell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Capwell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Capwell scoring with punches to the head and body. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Capwell working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Capwell keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head. Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Johnson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. That's three minutes gone in the round. Capwell lands a couple of elbows. Johnson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Capwell stacks Johnson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Capwell! Johnson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Capwell connects with a decent elbow. Johnson tries to buck Capwell off but Capwell is having none of it. Capwell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnson wants to control but Capwell postures up. Capwell scores with punches from side control. Capwell is working Johnson over with some ground and pound from side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Capwell passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Johnson! Capwell connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Johnson is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Capwell postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Johnson bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Capwell and the fight is over!
