Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Renninger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renninger throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Okabe looks to land a left hand but Renninger moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Renninger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Okabe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Okabe moves out of range of the strikes.

Renninger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Okabe goes for a double leg but Renninger avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Renninger continues to drive forward.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Okabe has Renninger pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Renninger manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Okabe's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Renninger looks to land a body kick but Okabe moved away.
Renninger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Okabe moves away.
Renninger shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Renninger connects with a right hand. Okabe shakes it off.

Okabe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Renninger momentarily.

Renninger fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Okabe.
Okabe is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

and Renninger counters with a head kick. That will keep Okabe thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Renninger's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Okabe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Renninger scrambles back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Okabe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Renninger - the referee stops the clock and Okabe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Renninger. Okabe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
