Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rubin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt comes to the cage accompanied by FIGJAM. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt jabs at Rubin's body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rubin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hunt looks to land a right hand but Rubin moved out of range.
Rubin tries to move into range but Hunt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hunt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A jab from Hunt finds it's way through Rubin's defenses.
Hunt digs a good body shot into Rubin's ribs.

Rubin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hunt.

Rubin lands a decent elbow from side control.
Rubin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Hunt works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Hunt is looking to control Rubin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hunt avoid being mounted?

Rubin winds up and cracks Hunt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hunt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rubin lands a right hook to the body.
Rubin swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Hunt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rubin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That kick from Rubin tenderised Hunt's leg. Hunt is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hunt connects with a looping right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hunt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rubin.
Rubin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Hunt jabs Rubin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Rubin tries to land a leg kick but Hunt saw it coming and moves away.
Hunt throws a nice looking combination but Rubin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Rubin counters with a shoot takedown. Hunt fights it but they end up in guard.

Hunt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
