Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Vercotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vercotti comes to the cage accompanied by Poverty - Ennio Morricone. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ray Lennox was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lennox misses with a looping left.
Lennox avoids the body shot from Vercotti.

Vercotti has Lennox pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vercotti pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lennox tumbling to the mat - Vercotti dives into Lennox's guard.

Lennox working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vercotti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vercotti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lennox had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vercotti defends it easily.

Vercotti has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Lennox sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Lennox is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vercotti doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lennox.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luigi Vercotti.
Well Vercotti has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
