Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wedge Xiii!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pak tries to close the distance and clinch but Xiii swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Xiii throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pak takes one to the chin there.

Xiii closes the distance and clinches.
Xiii scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Pak is trying to trip Xiii. He has hold of a leg but Xiii is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pak persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Xiii is on top in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Pak misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pak uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Xiii.

Xiii tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pak's elbow.

Pak is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Xiii pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Xiii is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pak is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Xiii to the mat. Xiii regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Xiii is pulling down on Pak's head. It's preventing any offense from Pak, at least for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pak won't allow Xiii to sweep him here.

Pak is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Wedge Xiii will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Pak scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Pak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pak lands in his opponent's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Xiii must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pak is looking to cinch up a triangle. Xiii throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pak's body to avoid the submission. Pak has instead reached around Xiii's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pak arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Dong Ming Pak decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
