Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Colin Delaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delaney's entrance music is Cevin Fisher's Big Freak - The Freaks Come Out. A fine choice. Quin has chosen Baha Men-Holla as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Delaney shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Quin is trying to defend but Delaney finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Delaney is working for a kimura but Quin is defending it quite comfortably.

Delaney is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Quin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Delaney.
Delaney wants to control but Quin is keeping him busy.
Quin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Delaney's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Delaney's back!
Quin has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Delaney's body.

Quin has the hooks in. Delaney is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Delaney is working hard here to advance position.
Quin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Quin landing with strikes.
Delaney manages to reverse the position and now he's in Quin's guard. Nice work there by Delaney.
Delaney trying to control but Quin is working from the bottom.

Delaney pushes down on Quin's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Delaney is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Delaney is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Quin is just riding it out for now. Delaney eventually gives up the hold.

Delaney throws a strike but Quin avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Quin is pulling down on Delaney's head. It's preventing any offense from Delaney, at least for the moment.

Delaney postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Delaney, into his guard.

Quin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colin Delaney dominated that round.
That's time! Delaney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Delaney throws a right hand that misses
and Quin counters with a series of strikes. Delaney will be more careful next time no doubt.
Delaney misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Quin moves into the clinch.
Quin lands a hook to the side of the head.
Delaney tries to break the clinch but Quin is controlling the position.
Quin lands a hook to the side of the head.
Delaney is looking to break free of the clinch but Quin has double underhooks.
Quin lands a shot to the body.
Quin lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Quin scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Quin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Quin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Quin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Delaney throws out the jab.

Quin throws a series of punches but Delaney moves out of range.
We've been told by Delaney's head coaches at Gentlemanly Scholars Fight Club Gym(4 Sprbt 4*+)(1 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Delaney throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Delaney throws a big shot that misses.
Quin slaps away a takedown attempt from Delaney, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Quin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Delaney throws out the jab.
Quin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Delaney tries to close the distance and clinch but Quin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Delaney shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Quin but Quin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Quin circles away from the clinch attempt.

A big right from Delaney misses.
Quin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Delaney.
Delaney takes one to the side of the head.
Delaney misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Quin.
Tom Quin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Quin takes a swing at Delaney's ribcage but misses.
Delaney throws a lazy uppercut
and Quin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters circling - Delaney throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tom Quin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Quin throws a monster overhand right that drops Delaney! Quin follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Quin!
Our winner, Tom Quin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
