PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Galen Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kay KickAss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). KickAss has chosen Seek and Detroy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KickAss throws a lazy body kick
and Mcguire counters with a head kick. That will keep KickAss thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

KickAss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mcguire really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

KickAss is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mcguire is just too persistent for him and manages to trip KickAss to the mat. KickAss regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Mcguire is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. KickAss can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mcguire tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kay KickAss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well KickAss has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
