The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vascuza lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Vascuza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shankoli as he avoids it easily.
A jab lands there for Shankoli.
Shankoli fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vascuza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good exchange - Shankoli coming out on top.
Shankoli ducks under a wild hook from Vascuza.
Shankoli loads up on a big right hand but Vascuza slips the punch.
Shankoli connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shankoli misses with an uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shankoli. Vascuza does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vascuza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shankoli sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vascuza somewhat.
Shankoli thows a left - swing and a miss!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shankoli misses the shot to the body.
Vascuza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shankoli tries to avoid it but Vascuza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shankoli to the ground. Shankoli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Florentine Vascuza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shankoli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shankoli looks to score with a jab to the body but Vascuza is just out of range.
Shankoli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Shankoli throws out a powerful jab.
Vascuza fails with a takedown attempt.
Shankoli dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Vascuza dives in and grabs Shankoli's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shankoli pushes down on Vascuza's head and hops out.
Ravi Shankoli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vascuza tries to clinch but Shankoli is having none of it.
Shankoli lands a nice shot that snaps Vascuza's head back.
Vascuza dodges the punch combination from Shankoli.

Shankoli tests Vascuza's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Shankoli has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vascuza is looking to clinch.
Vascuza looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nice uppercut there from Shankoli.
Vascuza shoots in looking for a takedown. Shankoli tries to sprawl out of it but Vascuza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shankoli manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vascuza is breathing heavily.
Vascuza takes one to the chin there.
Vascuza takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shankoli gets in close and tags Vascuza with a short punch that almost sends Vascuza to the mat! Oh Vascuza is in big trouble! He turns his back on Shankoli, trying to create some distance but Shankoli rushes him, striking wildly and Vascuza goes down! The referee tackles Shankoli into the cage to end the fight! Shankoli is one violent man!
