PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinrich Eisenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piotr Rasputin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Rasputin !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Heinrich Eisenberg!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rasputin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Eisenberg tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rasputin is in Eisenberg's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rasputin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rasputin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rasputin drops back looking for a leg! Eisenberg is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Eisenberg manages to kick Rasputin off! Rasputin jumps back into Eisenberg's guard.
Rasputin distracts Eisenberg with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rasputin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eisenberg utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rasputin throwing strikes but missing.
Eisenberg controls Rasputin momentarily but Rasputin frees himself.
Rasputin wants to pass the guard but Eisenberg is keeping the position.

Rasputin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Rasputin with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Rasputin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Eisenberg's head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rasputin lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Eisenberg preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Rasputin wants to control from the top but Eisenberg keeps moving.
Eisenberg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rasputin !
Rasputin is in all sorts of trouble here.
Eisenberg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rasputin is looking to escape.
Rasputin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rasputin controls the position.
Eisenberg has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad Amsterdam. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Rasputin tries to buck Eisenberg off but he can't manage it.
Eisenberg misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rasputin wants to control but Eisenberg is having none of it.
Rasputin is desperately trying to improve his position but Eisenberg has a good base and remains in mount.
Rasputin is working hard here to advance position.

Rasputin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Rasputin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Eisenberg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Eisenberg's back!
Eisenberg trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Eisenberg is taking damage to the body and head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rasputin struggling to keep hold of the position.
I really don't envy Eisenberg right now.

Rasputin is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Eisenberg knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Eisenberg for a finish.
Rasputin is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Eisenberg. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rasputin dives in and grabs Eisenberg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Eisenberg pushes down on Rasputin 's head and hops out.
Rasputin shoots in for a takedown but Eisenberg shows good takedown defense.
Eisenberg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Piotr Rasputin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rasputin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Eisenberg defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Piotr Rasputin . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rasputin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Eisenberg tries for a takedown but Rasputin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rasputin shoots in but no luck this time.

and Eisenberg counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Rasputin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rasputin lands in his opponent's guard.
Rasputin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Eisenberg can do to turn this around?
Rasputin stands up over Eisenberg, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Rasputin here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Eisenberg is breathing heavily.

Piotr Rasputin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rasputin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rasputin pushes down on Eisenberg's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Rasputin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Rasputin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eisenberg defends it well.
Rasputin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Rasputin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eisenberg defends it well.
Rasputin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Rasputin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rasputin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Check out the look on Rasputin 's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Eisenberg takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rasputin looks up at the clock and then as Eisenberg takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rasputin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Piotr Rasputin dominated that second round.
That's time! Rasputin 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Eisenberg defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rasputin .
Eisenberg shoots in for a takedown but Rasputin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Eisenberg tries to clinch but Rasputin moves out of range.

Rasputin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rasputin showed some decent athleticism there.
Eisenberg is staying active underneath Rasputin , who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Eisenberg wants to control the action here but instead Rasputin manages to pass to full mount!

It looks like Heinrich Eisenberg has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eisenberg is in a horrible position here. Rasputin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Eisenberg is still in real trouble! Can Rasputin finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rasputin lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Eisenberg! Rasputin sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Eisenberg and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Piotr Rasputin !
Piotr Rasputin seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
