Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Barber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Conti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Barber has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barber clinches up with Conti and pushes him back against the cage.

Conti rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barber moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Barber drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Conti throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Conti lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barber has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barber and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Conti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barber was well out of range. Poor timing from Conti.

Conti decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Conti is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barber defends it well.
