Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donny Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iwan Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iwan Morgan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Donny Franco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Iwan Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morgan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Franco!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Franco tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Franco parries the strikes from Morgan easily there. Morgan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Franco to escape.
Morgan wants to control but Franco is keeping him busy.
Franco is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Franco is looking for a sweep.
Morgan controlling from side mount.

Morgan stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Morgan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Morgan is trying to control the action in half guard but Franco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Morgan content to control rather than advance.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Morgan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Iwan Morgan.

Morgan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Franco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Morgan is in Franco's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morgan passes Franco's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Franco tries to roll over but Morgan keeps him under control.
Morgan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Morgan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Morgan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Morgan closes the distance and pushes Franco back into the cage.
Franco is trying to break the clinch but Morgan has him pressed against the cage.

Morgan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Morgan leaves Franco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Morgan gets a double leg takedown into Franco's guard.
Morgan stands and throws Franco's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Morgan throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Morgan stands up.

Franco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Morgan looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Franco wants to get back to his feet but Morgan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Morgan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morgan won't allow Franco to sweep him here.

Morgan rushes Franco and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Franco is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Morgan to keep the fight standing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Morgan throws a combination. Franco tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Morgan gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Morgan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Franco uses from the top position.

Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Franco's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Franco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Morgan as he jumps to the side.
Morgan looks to land a body kick but Franco moved away.
Morgan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Morgan clinches up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Morgan's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Morgan jumps guard and drags Franco to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morgan looking for a sweep. Not yet Morgan, not yet.
Morgan is looking to stand up but Franco isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franco wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.

Franco loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Franco has gone for a leg lock! Morgan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Franco's guard.

Morgan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Franco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Morgan lands a nice hook to Franco's body. Franco takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Morgan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Franco keeps working.
Franco pushes Morgan off looking to stand but Morgan dives back in and keeps control.

Morgan has Franco pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Morgan pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Franco tumbling to the mat - Morgan dives into Franco's guard.
Morgan wants to pass the guard but Franco is keeping the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Morgan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Iwan Morgan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Morgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
