Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Connall Chulainn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delphino Atlantis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delphino Atlantis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Connall Chulainn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Delphino Atlantis!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chulainn misses with a takedown attempt

and Atlantis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chulainn's guard now.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Atlantis advances position into side control!
Chulainn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Atlantis has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Atlantis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Atlantis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Chulainn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chulainn tries to get out of the position.
Chulainn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Atlantis trying to pass the guard but Chulainn defending well.
Chulainn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Atlantis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Atlantis's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Atlantis is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Atlantis has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Atlantis trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Chulainn throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Atlantis tries to roll but Chulainn sticks to his back.
What can Atlantis do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Chulainn is hanging on to Atlantis's back as he tries to escape.
Chulainn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Atlantis on the ground.
Chulainn lands strikes to the head.
Atlantis covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Atlantis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Chulainn's guard. Nice work there by Atlantis.
Atlantis trying to control the position from guard on top but Chulainn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Atlantis prevents Chulainn from getting back to his feet.
Atlantis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Atlantis tries to advance to mount but can't.
Chulainn is looking for a sweep.
Chulainn is not content to let Atlantis control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chulainn pushes Atlantis away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Atlantis gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Atlantis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chulainn, who protects the arm well.
Chulainn is not content to let Atlantis control the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chulainn is looking to reverse the position.
Atlantis trying to control the action but Chulainn is working from the bottom.
Chulainn wants to control but Atlantis postures up.
Chulainn is trying to improve his position.
Chulainn being controlled for a moment.
Chulainn tries to improve position but can't.

Atlantis swings around for an armbar but Chulainn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Atlantis's guard.

Atlantis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chulainn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Atlantis is tightening it up a little... Chulainn has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Chulainn reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Chulainn taps out! Nice BJJ there by Atlantis!
