Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Bernardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes comes to the cage accompanied by Roadhouse Blues. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bernardo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gomes is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bernardo to the mat. Bernardo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Gomes shoots in looking for a takedown. Bernardo tries to sprawl out of it but Gomes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bernardo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gomes scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Bernardo is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Gomes can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
