Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garry Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hannibal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Garry Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Hannibal!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stout darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hannibal is trying to stand back up but Stout is controlling him
Stout with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hannibal tries to kick Stout off but Stout keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Stout uses his free foot to push down on Hannibal's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hannibal.

Hannibal is desperately trying to improve his position but Stout has a good base and remains in mount.
Hannibal tries to hold on but Stout postures up.
Stout unloads with some shots from mount but Hannibal bucks and avoids them well.
Hannibal wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Stout.

Hannibal is desperately trying to improve his position but Stout has a good base and remains in mount.

Stout is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hannibal can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Stout seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hannibal for as long as he can get away with.

Hannibal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stout can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stout throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hannibal was covering up waiting for the punch and Stout finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Stout got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hannibal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stout has managed to get both his arms back between Hannibal's legs - danger averted.
