Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Karagoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Karagoshi!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karagoshi blocks a head kick by Turner.
Turner misses with a double jab.

Karagoshi has managed to clinch.
Turner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Karagoshi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Turner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karagoshi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Karagoshi moves into the clinch successfully.
Turner is trying to stall.

Karagoshi has clasped his hands together around Turner's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Karagoshi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Turner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Turner is looking for a sweep.

Karagoshi is staying tight to Turner's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Karagoshi trying to control the action but Turner is working from the bottom.
Turner tries to bench press Karagoshi off him but Karagoshi keeps the position.
Turner avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Karagoshi.

Well, if Karagoshi is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Turner is positioning himself well to prevent Karagoshi advancing to mount.
Karagoshi is thwarting Turner's attempts to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Karagoshi is keen to just control but Turner is a slippery customer.

We're going to have a standup here because Jim Turner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Karagoshi moves out of range of the body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Karagoshi rushes Turner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Turner tries to score a body lock takedown but Karagoshi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Karagoshi jumps into guard, dragging Turner to the mat.
Karagoshi is looking to stand up but Turner isn't so interested in that idea.

Turner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Karagoshi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Karagoshi is looking to sweep but instead, Turner has passed into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Karagoshi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Karagoshi wants to improve his position but instead Turner has moved into half guard.
Karagoshi tries to roll over but Turner keeps him under control.

Karagoshi is looking to control Turner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Karagoshi avoid being mounted?

Karagoshi is looking for a sweep. Turner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Turner connects with a nice short shot to Karagoshi's temple.
Karagoshi wants to control but Turner is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Karagoshi.
Turner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karagoshi circles away.
Karagoshi stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turner misses with a kick to the body.
Karagoshi pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Karagoshi clinches with his opponent.

Turner has Karagoshi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Turner pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Karagoshi tumbling to the mat - Turner dives into Karagoshi's guard.

Karagoshi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turner is controlling him.
Turner wants to control from the top but Karagoshi keeps moving.
Turner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Jim Turner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Karagoshi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Turner's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Karagoshi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Karagoshi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Turner on his heels. He'll look to pass Turner's guard now, I'm sure.

Karagoshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Karagoshi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adam Karagoshi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Karagoshi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Karagoshi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Turner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Turner closes the distance and clinches up with Karagoshi, looking for a takedown. Turner pushes Karagoshi against the cage but Karagoshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Turner lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Karagoshi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Turner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Karagoshi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Turner pulls Karagoshi in close to prevent any damage.

Jim Turner has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Karagoshi closes the distance and clinches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Karagoshi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Karagoshi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Karagoshi has a hand on Turner's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Turner takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Turner avoids the attempt from Karagoshi to control.

Karagoshi has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Turner misses with punches from the back.
Karagoshi is keeping busy.
Karagoshi tries to roll but Turner sticks to his back.
Jim Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Adam Karagoshi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
