Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Landen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Oatmeal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oatmeal has chosen Followers of a Brutal Calling as his entrance music. Paul Landen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oatmeal darts in trying to clinch
and Landen counters with an outside leg kick.
Oatmeal moves in looking to clinch but Landen pushes him off.
Oatmeal takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Landen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Landen wants it to stay on the feet.
Landen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Oatmeal moves in looking to clinch but Landen pushes him off.

Landen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Oatmeal has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Landen digs a right hand into Oatmeal's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Oatmeal's gas tank.

Landen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Oatmeal backwards.
Landen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Oatmeal closes the distance and clinches up with Landen, looking for a takedown. Oatmeal pushes Landen against the cage but Landen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Landen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oatmeal circles away quickly and effectively.

Oatmeal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Landen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Landen throws a body punch but Oatmeal moves out of range.

Oatmeal is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Landen dips to his left and cracks Oatmeal with an uppercut!
Oatmeal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Landen was well out of range. Poor timing from Oatmeal.
Landen swats away the attempt to clinch by Oatmeal.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Landen.

and Landen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Landen thows a body kick. Oatmeal tries to catch it but that hurt him.

and Landen counters with a left and a right that stings Oatmeal.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Landen lands a right hook to the body.
Oatmeal wants to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Oatmeal looks winded!
Landen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Landen thuds his shin into the meat of Oatmeal's side.
Oatmeal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Landen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That kick from Landen tenderised Oatmeal's leg. Oatmeal is trying to keep his angry face on.
Landen pushes Oatmeal away with a front kick.
Landen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Landen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Landen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Oatmeal tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Landen counters with a good low kick that Oatmeal was not able to check.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Oatmeal takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Landen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Landen throws a good cross that connects.

Oatmeal is still on wobbly legs! Can Landen finish him?
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Landen! Oatmeal is out on his feet! Landen rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Oatmeal is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Oatmeal is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
