Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Armo Kuusela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuusela comes to the cage accompanied by Promentory. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuusela goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
We've been informed that Jones has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones lands a jab-cross combination.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kuusela lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kuusela with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut.

The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Tom Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones is trying to break the clinch but Kuusela has him pressed against the cage.

Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Kuusela uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kuuselas head.
Kuusela lands with a light punch inside.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kuusela fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kuusela stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Armo Kuusela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Jones.
Kuusela lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kuusela lands a big uppercut and Jones crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jones looks OK. Kuusela waves Jones back to his feet!

Jones is rocked!
Kuusela lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jones falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kuusela dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
