Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aimo Pamaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Fenili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aimo Pamaus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gabriel Fenili!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pamaus looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Fenili tries to clinch but Pamaus is having none of it.
Fenili misses with a takedown
and Pamaus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fenili throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pamaus's waist but Pamaus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fenili off to one side.
A big left from Pamaus misses.
Fenili shoots in looking for a takedown but Pamaus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fenili's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Aimo Pamaus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Fenili.

Fenili shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pamaus as he avoids it easily.
Fenili goes for a double leg but Pamaus avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pamaus continues to drive forward.

Fenili is working for takedown but Pamaus is calmly controlling the position for now.
Pamaus creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Pamaus can't break the clinch.
Pamaus lands a hook to the side of the head.

Pamaus lands with a light punch inside.
Pamaus keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fenili's efforts to push away.

Fenili's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pamaus misses with an attempted mid kick.

Fenili takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pamaus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fenili.
Fenili takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pamaus tried to score with a low kick but Fenili checks it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Pamaus. That's going to slow Fenili down.
Fenili takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Pamaus connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Pamaus fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Fenili is out of range.

Fenili takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Pamaus throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Pamaus misses with a kick to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pamaus.
Pamaus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fenili throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pamaus's waist but Pamaus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fenili off to one side.

Fenili dives in for a single leg takedown but Pamaus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Pamaus wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fenili is trying desperately to land a takedown but Pamaus is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Fenili.
Pamaus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pamaus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pamaus misses with a hook

and Fenili counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pamaus won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
You can see the frustration on Pamaus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fenili goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pamaus has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fenili but great work by Pamaus.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pamaus is looking to take a break and control but Fenili is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pamaus lands a nice forearm strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Fenili counters with a single leg into guard. Pamaus didn't expect that.

Pamaus seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Fenili wants to work for an arm triangle but Pamaus is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fenili is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Fenili is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Pamaus is trying to maintain the position but Fenili is very close to passing his half guard.
Fenili wants to free his trapped foot but Pamaus is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Fenili won't allow Pamaus to get back to his feet.
Fenili stands and throws Pamaus's legs to the side, diving into side control.

I wouldn't like to be where Pamaus is right now.

Fenili goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pamaus has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fenili but great work by Pamaus.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fenili takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pamaus in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Fenili manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pamaus's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Fenili showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Pamaus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Fenili counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fenili is pushing down on Pamaus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pamaus is fighting to maintain full guard but Fenili has managed to sneak the leg through.

Fenili is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pamaus defends it well.

Fenili looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fenili is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pamaus is just riding it out for now. Fenili eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fenili is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pamaus!

Fenili working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Pamaus is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Fenili has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Pamaus taps out!
