The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cropp closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Compton did well to prevent Cropp getting side control.

Cropp moves forwards but Compton connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Cropp uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Compton.
Cropp throws a looping overhand right but Compton ducks down to avoid it.
Compton tries to work over Cropp's front leg with a kick but Cropp checks it.
Cropp connects with a jab.
Cropp tries to score a power double leg takedown but Compton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cropp somewhat.

Cropp dives in and grabs Compton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Compton pushes down on Cropp's head and hops out.

Compton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cropp to the mat! Cropp manages to get full guard.

Cropp is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Compton is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Cropp bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Compton's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Cropp counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Compton! He's just covering up as Cropp starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Karol Cropp decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Buck Compton spoke after the fight, saying 'Cant believe I lost this fight, I had a great camp and I was ready, so frustrated.'.
