Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nero Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ava Noel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by A Moment. Ava Noel has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nero Padilla's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nero Padilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ava Noel!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Noel misses.
Noel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Noel throws an off balance right hand
and Padilla cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Padilla has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
Noel misses with an uppercut. Padilla saw that one coming.
Padilla pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Noel misses the jab.
A jab lands there for Noel.
Padilla uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Noel has time to react.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Padilla throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Noel misses with an uppercut
and Padilla counters with a shoot takedown. Noel fights it but they end up in guard.
Padilla postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Noel pushes Padilla off and scrambles back to his feet.
Noel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Padilla counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Noel wants to stand up but Padilla is controlling him.
Padilla pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Noel is keeping the position for now.
Padilla advances to half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Padilla throwing shots but Noel is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Noel is looking to escape.
Noel felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Noel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Padilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Padilla stops Noel from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Padilla in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Noel tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Padilla!
