Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saem Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roland Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Saem Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Saem Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roland Dawson!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dawson looks winded!
Dawson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dawson misses with a takedown
and Black counters with a single leg into guard. Dawson didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Black content to stall in guard here.
Black landing with the ground and pound.
Black with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Dawson being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Dawson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Black connects with a couple of short punches.

Black's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Dawson has momentary wrist control but Black slips an elbow through the middle.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Saem Black.
Dawson misses with a takedown attempt
and Black counters with a takedown into side control.
Dawson is rocked!
Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dawson on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black is putting a hurting on Dawson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Dawson is still in real trouble! Can Black finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Check out the look on Black's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Black is staying tight to Dawson's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Dawson is not content to let Black control the position.
Dawson tries to bench press Black off him but Black keeps the position.

Black cracks Dawson with a big elbow.
Black cracks Dawson with a big right hand but Dawson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Black is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dawson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Dawson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black is putting a hurting on Dawson here, landing some big shots from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Saem Black dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dawson tries for a takedown but Black circles away easily
and Black counters with a HUGE slam that knocks Dawson out cold!!! When he eventually wakes up, that one's gunna hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Saem Black!
