Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws the left hand but Apple avoids the punch easily.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Apple has eaten all the pies!
Apple darts in looking for a takedown but Payne gets double underhooks and turns Apple into the cage.
Payne using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Apple has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Apple tries to work over Payne's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Payne is trying to break the clinch but Apple is controlling him.

Apple breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Payne has a takedown stuffed.

Apple closes the distance and pushes Payne back into the cage.
Payne has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Apple is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Apple lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Payne has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Apple is trying to keep an underhook but Payne manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Payne wants to stand but Apple has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Payne thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Payne content to control rather than advance.
Apple tries to kick Payne off but Payne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Payne throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Payne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Apple is looking to escape.

Payne seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Apple is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
