PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luca Turilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cormac Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turilli comes to the cage accompanied by krolithika. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gutz's choice of entrance music: Everyday. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutz staying out of range there.
Turilli looks to throw the jab but Gutz is out of range.
Gutz throws a low kick but it's checked well by Turilli.
Gutz lands with a kick to the temple. Turilli shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Turilli cracks Gutz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turilli has managed to clinch.

Turilli throws a big shot that misses.
Gutz moves out of range as Turilli strikes.
Gutz throws a quick inside leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gutz, as that shot connected.

It looks like Luca Turilli has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turilli tries to clinch but Gutz moves out of range.

and Turilli holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Gutz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Turilli.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gutz is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Turilli has a couple of punches blocked by Gutz.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Turilli shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gutz.
Turilli shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Gutz counters with a shoot takedown. Turilli fights it but they end up in guard.

Gutz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turilli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gutz has managed to get both his arms back between Turilli's legs - danger averted.

Gutz passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Turilli!
