Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paha Hemmo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Stall!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stall thows a leg kick but Hemmo checks it

and Hemmo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stall!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Stall seems a little lost for a moment, as Hemmo dominates the positioning.

Hemmo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stall, who protects the arm well.

Hemmo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hemmo trying to control the action but Stall is working from the bottom.

Hemmo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stall has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hemmo but great work by Stall.
Hemmo is looking for a sweep.
Stall controls the position.

Stall laying and praying for a moment but Hemmo takes advantage and regains half guard.
Hemmo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hemmo trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Stall manages to pass to mount!
Hemmo can't escape the position.
Stall throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Stall throwing strikes here but Hemmo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hemmo tries to hold on but Stall pushes him away.

Hemmo manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Stall wants to control but Hemmo is keeping him busy.

Stall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hemmo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hemmo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hemmo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hemmo has Stall pulled in close to control his posture.
Stall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stall is looking to stand up but Hemmo won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Stall was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hemmo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stall on his heels. He'll look to pass Stall's guard now, I'm sure.

and Hemmo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hemmo shoots for a double leg takedown but Stall sprawls well. He's pushed Hemmo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hemmo shoots in but Stall avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Hemmo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Hemmo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stall thinking.
Stall bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hemmo's head.


It looks like Paha Hemmo has been cut.

Nice uppercut lands for Stall. That snapped Hemmo's head back.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Stall stuffs the takedown attempt from Hemmo. Hemmo gets slowly back to his feet.

Dan Stall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stall getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Stall's coach down at Wake and Bake was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stall's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Stall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Stall slips under a jab from Hemmo.

Hemmo misses with a straight left.
Good exchange - Stall coming out on top.
Hemmo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Hemmo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hemmo.
Stall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stall looks to land a left hand but Hemmo moved out of range nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dan Stall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hemmo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stall throws out the jab.

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hemmo was well out of range. Poor timing from Stall.
Stall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dan Stall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Stall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
