Sanchez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Wanna Fuck You In The Ass. Ola John has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ola John!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Altemio Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
John doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
John defending well as Sanchez loads up on a big left hand.

and John counters by moving into the clinch.

John will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

John can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sanchez is looking to escape.

John has hold of Sanchez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sanchez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sanchez tries to lock up and control but John gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
John lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sanchez is desperately trying to improve his position but John has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sanchez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. John stacks Sanchez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by John!
John wants to stand but Sanchez has his arm trapped.

John has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
