The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Robinson avoids a kick to the body.
Robinson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Robinson dives in and grabs Washington's left leg, looking for a takedown. Washington pushes down on Robinson's head and hops out.
Washington lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Robinson moves forwards but Washington connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Robinson misses with a takedown attempt - Washington sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Washington feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Robinson's calf.
Washington uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Robinson has time to react.
Chris Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Washington tries to land a front kick but Robinson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Robinson looks for a takedown but Washington sprawls well.
Leonard Washington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Robinson.
Robinson goes for a double leg but Washington avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Washington continues to drive forward.
Washington lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Robinson tries to break the clinch but Washington is controlling the position.
Robinson is trying to pull guard but Washington has him pressed against the ropes.
Robinson wants to take the fight to the mat but Washington manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Robinson has Washington pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Washington manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Washington lands a hook that snaps the head of Robinson backwards.
Washington lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Robinson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Washington is defending well.
Robinson is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Washington gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Washington - that landed with a thud.

Washington struggles to land a body shot inside as Robinson controls his hands.
Robinson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Washington is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Robinson.

Robinson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Washington is pressed up against the ropes. Robinson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Washington down to the mat. Washington avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Washington thumps Robinson with a low kick.
Robinson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice straight punches there by Washington. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Washington.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Washington postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Robinson covers up, he's hurt! Washington keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Washington and the ref steps in to end the fight! Washington can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
